i was lonely and you were too
you autographed my broken heart
i photographed it, called it art
sold my story on the internet
where binary rain doesn't get you wet
fled to the desert to stare at the moon
spent all night howling out of tune
found a river, lost the plot again
never quite managed to forget your name
then i thought you wanted to be me
now i think you see right through me
[i can't sing my dreams without you
everything is all about you]
sometimes we forget that strangers
bring the sweetest, strangest dangers
i opened up to let you in
now i don't recognise my skin
the truth is, i was always blue
it's who i am, i don't blame you

Post a CommentCool poem! Check out my poem: "Goddess of Your Heart." I think that you might enjoy it.
Stop apologizing for your writing. I like this, it's lovely in a lyrical way.
thanks people ... i write all my crappeh poetry to the music in my head - but can't DO the music part, so they're unsung songs, perhaps.
Excellent, is this a song?
diggin' the poem sistah.lol
"where binary rain doesn't get you wet"
What a great line - wonderful xxxx
The rhyming requires no apology - it flows with the meaning - like the left hand with the right playing the bass and treble clefts on a keyboard. Well done!
Great work.
cool, good work
