Burt Reynolds Death Rumors Stem from Recent Heart Problems

Burt Reynolds death rumors were floating around, but these Burt Reynolds rumors aren't like other celebrity death stories being concocted. It had been reported that Reynolds was having heart trouble, and when information about his course of treatment didn't come through, some internet bloggers started assuming the worst. Those assumptions led to people fearing he had died, unlike in other recent rumors where writers simply made up stories about celebrities in car accidents. The new is as good as it could be for Reynolds right now, as he was forced to have a serious surgery, but is at home resting during his recovery.

The reason Burt Reynolds had to have surgery was indeed tied to his heart, and he was forced to go through a quintuple bypass surgery. The surgery happened at the end of last week, and Reynolds went through it because he was told that he would die if he didn't have it done. According to Popeater, Reynolds manager Erik Krizer disputed thoughts that there was an emergency surgery, or that Reynolds was in dire condition as was stated in early press reports. This is very good news, because it quells all of the fears as to why the condition of Burt Reynolds had not been discussed more in the press.

It's good that these rumors were put to bed quite nicely by his manager, and it is equally good to hear that he is expected to make a full recovery from this surgery. Reynolds definitely had some 'hard living' earlier in his career, and while that isn't necessarily being blamed as the need for this surgery, but it probably didn't help. Reynolds is now 74-years-old, and hopefully his rehab goes well enough that he can get back into the acting game as a nice supporting character. His days as a leading man are probably behind him, but he still has that great presence to be a supporting actor as maybe something like a father figure.
