As the title suggests the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Tear Free Shampoo and Wash is not painful when you get it in your eyes. I had forgotten how painful it can be when you get soap in your eyes and the other day I did just that. It was a feeling that I would like to avoid for my son and so it is nice to find tear free products that work. Being tear free is not the only thing that I like about the bathing product, I am also happy to say that it is sodium lauryl and laureth sulfate free, paraben free, and phthalate free; additionally it has someone wonderful ingredients.
The ingredients of Burt's Bees Baby Bee Tear Free Shampoo and Wash start with of water and decl & lauryl glucosides which consist of a nautral coconut oil, corn starch and sugar soap blend. Next comes coco betaine, a cocnut oil mosistizer, soy protein, and coco glucoside and glyceryl oleate made of natural sunflower and coconut oil soap blend. Finially there is sucrose laurate, which is sugar ester, vegetable glycerin, betaine, which is sugar bette, glucose, or sugar, fragrance, orange oil, anise oil, lemon oil, vanilla extract, clove oil, xanthan gum, which is used as a natural thickener, citric acid, and glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase which are used as natural preservatives. I was quite pleased with these ingredients which made the product 96.08% natural and quite effective.
I like that the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Tear Free Shampoo and Wash works as a shampoo as well as a body wash. It saves us room in the bathtub. It had a great scent to it, nothing too fruity of flowery but definitely a scent of clean. The directions were to create lather with a warm wash cloth or your hands and to gently wash your child's body and then rinse off. I found that it worked well to use a wash cloth and I did not need to use as much soap this way. For washing hair the instructions were to lather up your child's hair and scalp by gently rubbing and then to thoroughly rinse the hair out. This shampoo is not super thick so rinsing out completely was not too difficult and any difficulty mainly came from my son not wanting to get his hair washed.
I think that if my son was to give his opinion on the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Tear Free Shampoo and Wash or any other shampoo he would say he could live without it, but he is not fond of getting his hair washed. I on the other hand would recommend it to anyone with a baby, toddler, or small child. It is a product that I loved to use and would use again. At only 7 dollars or so dollars for a 12 oz bottle, which last a really long time, I can afford to use it again.
