Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balms

Goth Diva
I couldn't go without my Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I usually buy two or three at a time so I can keep one in my purse, one in my car, and one in my makeup bag. You can find Burt's Bees products at most of the major drug store chains as well as co-ops and natural food stores like Whole Foods. All natural and under $3 for .15oz tube, this is the best lip balm out there. There are several formulas to choose from, these all natural lip balms are great even for children.

Other major lip balm brands like Chapstick or Carmex are waxy and make my lips even dryer than they were without the lip balm. I don't like lip balms with a heavy or greasy feel but I want something that is substantial enough to protect my lips for hours at time so that I'm not reapplying lip product every half hour. Burt's Bees has a very light, silky feel going on and doesn't leave that layer of greasy wax on your lips after it's on like some others. It does protect for hours though, even in very dry office air or on a plane your lips will stay soft and not greasy. There are several formulas of Burt's Bees lip balm; the original formula which is great on its own, a Honey formula that has a rich, slightly sweet taste and is the gentlest of all the formulas. I would recommend the honey for children or people with very sensitive lips. New to the Burt's Bees line is a lip balm infused with antioxidant rich pomegranate oil. This is the formula I use everyday and I wouldn't use anything else. It leaves my lips soft and smooth without being heavy or greasy. I've tried other high-end lip balms, like Philosophy's Kiss Me lip balm which runs about $10 per .5oz tube but I have yet to find a better lip balm than Burt's Bees.

The practices of the companies I buy from are very important to me, and factor into my purchasing choices. Burt's Bees is an ethical company. None of their products are tested on animals and their packaging uses 50% (or more) recycled materials. Their products are made using environmentally friendly business practices and they use only natural ingredients like beeswax, Shea butter, essential oils and vitamins. Easy to find at most major drug store chains or natural food stores and at a cost of around $3 you can't beat the quality of Burt's Bees lip balm.

  • Burt's Bees products are all natural.
  • Burt's Bees products are not tested on animals.
  • Burt's Bees products are easy to find at most major drugstores or natural food stores.
Burt's Bees started out as a very small individually run company and now is an industry leader in all natural cosmetics and skincare.

I've been using the chapstick all natural for a while now and i love it. But i'll have to try the Burt's Bees sometime, if it's sold here.
