Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser

A Perfect Product for Dry Skin and Helps Prevent Breakouts

Merz
I have incredibly sensitive skin. No matter what I put on my face, it tends to painfully dry my skin out and cause major breakouts. Due to this problem, I have tried nearly every available sensitive skin product from every major skin care line on the market from the high dollar Origins product line to the inexpensive Neutrogena product line. Nothing I have tried has been able to prevent dryness or breakouts until I tried a Burt's Bees product.

I bought Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser on a whim, because it sounded organically sound and light on chemicals in the description on the tube. After using it now for roughly six months, I am pleasantly surprised by the results. I can now say, without a doubt, that this facial cleanser is the best one I have found for my dry, sensitive skin. Using it twice a day, morning and night, has improved the condition of my skin considerably. While it does not prevent all breakouts, it has caused fewer breakouts than any other product that I have tried, and, while it is not a miracle moisturizer, it does not dry my skin out as much as other products I have used in the past. If you have really hard to maintain skin, you know that any improvement is good.

This facial cleanser is gentle. It does not burn or feel tight while I am washing my face. It feels really good on my skin while it is on, and it leaves my skin feeling reasonably soft when I wash it off. It smells really good too. It is also one of the less expensive face care products on the market. I can usually get it for about $8.00 and have found that the place with the best price tends to be Drugstore.com. It is somewhat difficult to find in a Walgreens or CVS as it is almost always sold out. Also, they tend to charge $9.99 for it in those places.

I really do highly recommend this product to anyone who has dry or sensitive skin and has had a difficult time finding a product that does not increase dryness or cause breakouts. The only issue I have found with this facial cleanser is that it is very thick and waxy, and it does not come off easily. You can't just rinse your face and go. You have to put a little muscle into it to get all of the product off of your face when rinsing, and when I have not got it all off in the past, it has led to increased breakouts. It really is not a problem though once you get used to it. And the benefits of the product for someone with dry, sensitive skin like me far outweigh this one little negative aspect.
