Burt's Bees Radiance Body Bar Review

Sarah Rachel
I have always loved Burt's Bees products. They offer a wide range of natural bath, body and beauty products. Recently I tried the Radiance Exfoliating Body Bar. The label says Radiance contains 100% natural ingredients. This soap has beneficial ingredients such as royal jelly and jojoba beads. Royal jelly and jojoba are both very softening to the skin. Royal jelly in particular has many anti-aging benefits. Royal jelly is derived from honey bees and this food is fed to the queen bee, even as she is developing. The bees actually make this super nutritious food for their entire lives. Royal jelly also contains potent amino acids in addition to many vitamins, salts and fats.

The fruit extracts found in Radiance soap are also meant to help exfoliate the skin. Radiance soap is like a nutrient bar for your skin. You certainly won't feel guilty about using this soap because you are truly pampering your skin. Our skin absorbs everything we put on it, so why not nourish the skin with this excellent body bar. I knew I made a good choice when I bought Radiance soap, and I am very pleased with this product.

When I used this soap I did notice only a mild (non-abrasive) exfoliating effect. When I opened the package I smelled a very fresh clean scent. The bar has lasted for nearly a month now. The lather is very mild, but it still works well. After using this creamy soap, my skin feels very smooth. I have also noticed that my skin looks healthier since I've been using this soap. I'm not sure if it is because of the nutrients contained in the soap, or the exfoliating effect that the nutrients have on my skin. It could possibly be both.

The ingredient list contains all of the following: Glycine soja (soybean oil), coconut oil, palm oil, olive fruit oil, natural fragrance, (jojoba butter), royal jelly, rosemary leaf extract, bilberry extract, sugar cane extract, sugar maple extract, orange fruit extract, lemon extract, and iron oxides.

Another really nice thing about this soap is that it is wrapped in biodegradable paper. You can simply discard the material normally and it will easily break down in the environment. This is possible because the paper is actually made from minerals known as Terraskin. The paper has a very soft texture and it would actually be nice if more paper is made with this material. Burt's Bees also wraps many other body bars in mineral paper.
