Bus Driver Almost Loses His Job for Wearing Santa Hat

Sin Lucas
A bus driver in New York was told to stop wearing his Santa hat to work or face losing his job.

Kenneth Mott, 65, had finished his bus route when he received a call from his supervisors. They demanded that he stop wearing the hat.

Mott said that his supervisor told him that a parent of one of the students complained about the Santa hat. The parent said that their child didn't believe in Santa Claus and was bothered by the hat. He didn't stop wearing it, but he did inform parents that Friday might be his last day on the job because of the hat.

Friday won't be his last day. Mott's supervisors changed their minds and told him that he could continue wearing the hat.

News sources report that the school's district superintendent called the transportation supervisor and said that the hat could stay since it was not a religious object, was not distracting to the driver, and didn't interfere with the driver's duties.

It appears that Santa is safe for another year.

That's such a shame that people are so over-PC that they almost got this man fired for something so mundane and commonplace. Thank goodness for a sensible superintendent!

Great article. People are just so stupid these days. Everything offends them and bothers them. They just want to cause more trouble.

I'm glad he got to keep his job. I don't see what the big deal is over a hat anyway.
