Bush Administration Does 180 on Bob Woodward

Timothy Sexton
It was to be expected, of course. Bob Woodward wrote two bizarrely positive books about the Bush White House and members of the administration went on news discussion shows to trumpet it . Bob Woodward's first two books on the Bush White House painted a portrait of a decisive leader with a vision for the world.

Bob Woodward's third book, however, paints a White House in confusion and chaos over the fact that their war hasn't turned out anything like they thought it would. And even before the books hit stores, Dan Bartlett, Counsel to the President, was on ABC's This Week suggesting that Woodward had already formed a negative opinion before he even started doing research. In other words, he twisted the facts to suit his policy.

Well, the White House most definintely knows more than anyone else how to go about doing that, of course, so maybe they really do know something. Or, more likely, Karl "Mmm...Cheeseburgers" Rove sent out word that Bob Woodward had been added to the Bush hatchet job list. Also on the llist: Sen. John McCain, Valerie Plame, Colin Powell, Richard Clarke, Michael Brown, Rep. John Murtha, George Tenet.

One day Pres. Bush will stumble across Harry Truman's old "The Buck Stops Here" sign. In the meantime, it keeps getting passed around and Bush continues to be sucessful in sidestepping any responsibility for anything bad that happens during his watch. Meantime he takes credit for all the good things....well, when something good finally does happen under George Bush's watch, he no doubt will be quick to take credit for it.

This constant bashing of the president and his administration is being done by more than a handful of people. You should read more articles about it. Can't you complain about something else... anything else? You seem to have a delusional obsession for Bush that is unhealthy.

Is it constant bashing of this president, or is it another voice crying out against the outrages of undoubtedly the worst President in American history, who-in similar fashion to what one might expect of a "richie rich meets sleprock" kind of character, demolishes everything he touches, then throws money at the problem (well, actually at contractors, but you get the point)

And for those who might read Mr. Gutsy Question Mark there and take it seriously, I would advise you to click on my name above and browse through portfolio. You will find that I have probably the single most diverse portfolio on Associated Content.

this constant bashing of the president and his administration is getting quite old... but i guess since only a handful of people read your articles anymore you are merely writing to appease them. Can't you write about something else... anything else? You seem to have a clear obsession for Bush that is unhealthy.
