Price and Availability
I purchased this product at my local Kroger. It was on sale- 2- 22 ounce cans for $3.00 The regular price is $1.89 a can.
Product Description
On his TV commercials, Jay Bush says his new Best Grillin' Beans are, as the name implies, better to eat with grilled steak, chicken and pork chops than his regular beans. They're flavored to complement grilled meats. Besides the Steakhouse Recipe flavor, which is described by the company as being "An Authentic Blend of Beans and Brown Sugar Simmered in a Robust Steak Sauce", there is also Bourbon and Brown Sugar- "Robust Beans With a Touch of Natural Bourbon Flavor." Then, there's Southern Pit Barbecue- "Slow-Cooked Beans in a Rich Barbecue Sauce for an Authentic Grilled Flavor", and Smokehouse Tradition flavor- "Tender Beans Simmered in a Sweet and Smoky Sauce."
The Ingredients
The ingredients of Bush's Best Grillin' Beans- Steakhouse Recipe Flavor are as follows: Prepared White Beans, Water, Brown Sugar, Onion, Bell Pepper, Modified Corn Starch, Salt, Tomato Paste, Vinegar, Molasses, Caramel Color, Spices, White Distilled Vinegar, Mustard Bran, Natural Flavor and Hickory Smoke Flavor.

Taste Test and Conclusion
Since, as I mentioned, I love the original versions of Bush's Best Baked Beans, I'm not surprised that it's the Number 1 bean brand in the country, selling a third of all the canned beans. However, I was disappointed with Bush's Best Grillin' Beans- Steakhouse Recipe flavor.
I heated the beans and served them with steaks and fresh veggies. It was just my guy and me at the dinner table that night. The first thing we both noticed is how dark the beans and sauce are, as you can tell by the picture. We each took a bite, and, as I was thinking, "Boy, are these baked beans sweet!", he was saying, "Mmm, these are delicious! Which flavor is this?" If you notice, brown sugar is the third ingredient on the label of Bush's Best Grillin' Beans- Steakhouse Recipe flavor.
Guy loved their hearty, tangy taste.
My mother also added brown sugar to her homemade baked beans, and I do too. "Sweet" in baked beans is expected, it helps give them their delicious taste. But, I think Jay's recipe is too sweet, at least for me.
So, in conclusion, try Bush's Best Grillin' Beans- Steakhouse Recipe flavor. You and your family may love them! But if you too think they contain too much sugar, remember that I warned you!

I have been in a baked beans mood lately but won't try these as I also disike products that are too sweet--even candy. Thanks for the tip : )
Yum :)
If I could just get over the name! LOL! The beans sound yummy!
I'll have to agree that if you don't have time to make yer own baked beans, Bush's are almost as good as "from scratch." Our family likes beans a little bit on the sweet side so I may give this a try, at least once :)
Great review! They sound too sweet for me too.
Great review....I was wondering about this flavor.
Bush's Best is my favorite brand of canned baked beans! I haven't tried this new flavor yet.
