Bush's Pandemic Avian Flu Proposal has an Unethical Corporate Link

As the credibility begins to crumble around the current regime in the United States Whitehouse, the president recently laid out a plan to help suppress the threat of a so-called flu pandemic (Avian Flu). This elaborate Pandemic Influenza Plan calls for congress to allot approximately 7.1 billion dollars to properly prepare for such an event. The most interesting element of Bush's Pandemic Proposal is the need to stockpile medical supplies, particularly the anti-viral drug Tamiflu, for a potential outbreak of the virus in the U.S.

According to the president, Tamiflu aids, not cures, the symptoms of Avian Flu if taken 48 hours after infection. For this reason, Bush's plan calls for a stockpile of 80 million doses of the anti-viral drug; at a cost of 2 billion dollars. So the obvious question is, "Why Tamiflu?" The reason might be more sinister than one can palate.

A doctor and notable author Dr. Joseph Mercola recently said that Tamiflu "is a worthless drug that in no way shape or form treats the avian flu, but only decreases the amount of days one is sick and can actually contribute to the virus having more lethal mutations." And yet, the president still allotted a substantial portion of the money in his Pandemic initiative to the stockpile of this useless drug. Could it be that this president is not telling the U.S. people something? If one does enough research, they'll realize the true motivation for this spread of Pandemic fear.

Tamiflu is currently being manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Roche. But if one investigates further, they'll find that a company by the name of Gilead actually developed this anti-viral drug. As a result, Gilead gave Roche exclusive rights to market, manufacture and distribute the drug about ten years ago. These crucial facts are very important because a motive begins to evolve out of knowing them.

After further investigation, the Gilead Company was found to have a strong unethical tie with the current administration. Donald Rumsfeld, the current secretary of defense, was once chairman of the Gilead and still owns substantial quantities of stock in the company. Also remember that Halliburton, whose chairman was vice-president Dick Cheney, is currently receiving no-bid billion dollar contracts of U.S. taxpayer's money because of the current theaters of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Is this all a coincidence? Any rational minded individual would say, "Absolutely not!"

This regime in power in the United States has gotten away with robbing the average everyday American for too long. They make sure to stir up national and international fear, so they can pay off the corporate entities that puppeteer this corrupt machine. This U.S. government was supposedly made for the people, by the people. But if one observes the political landscape in America, they'll realize that it's no different than the era of feudalism. The U.S. people must, in some way, hold these power hungry autocrats accountable for all death, fear, destruction and pain they have inflicted on the world to their benefit. The U.S. still belongs to the people, and the sooner this machine and the elitist community realize that, the sooner people can take their country back.
