Business Ideas from Home

One of the best things in today's economy for those of us that were laid off or do not make enough money is to start our own businesses. Yes, not everyone has the money to start a business, but there are businesses out there that do not require a lot of money for start up. In fact if you just start out doing things for people here and there, you will make a pretty good profit.

Here are some business ideas you can start from home:

  1. ebay-store: sell what you have or buy from a wholesaler what you want to sell and resell it on ebay for profit. (check out www.ebay.com)
  1. tutoring business-cost nothing more than about 30 dollars to start up. You need fliers, advertisement in schools, grocery stores, laundry mats, bulleting boards, on campuses. Just call around and find out who needs help with the subject you feel comfortable to teach.
  1. bake cookies and pies and sell at the flea market-delicious and it will bring you profit; make sure the flea market is ok with you selling there and ask them if they want you to have a business license.
  1. cleaning houses- this is more lucrative in areas where rich people live; check out a rich people area and put some fliers in their mailbox to let them know about your services
  1. personal chef-what a nice job for someone who loves to cook; in Alabama you don't need a food permit since one does all this in the house of your client using their utensils and money to buy the ingredients; make sure your local authorities are ok with that. I called them. It only took one minute to find out.
  1. pet sitter-if you love pets and not allergic to them, this is a good opportunity; people travel and loves their animals but don't want to leave them alone;

So, here are a few business ideas to get you started. Pick one or 2 of them you like and turn your hobby into a great profit.
