About: Quivey's Grove offers traditional Wisconsin fare in its historical Stone House and Stable Grill that go back to 1855. The dishes that are served each tell a story about Wisconsin's history and people, from the Lamb Nolen (named after John Nolen, the father of urban planning), to the Crepes Leopold (named after the Wisconsin naturalist Aldo Leopold). Chicken with fresh mushrooms, roast duck with port wine cherry sauce, tenderloin medallions and pretzel-encrusted fresh lake perch are just some of the staples at Quivey's Grove. Desserts include such items as apple crisp, turtle pie and blueberry cobbler. There is an "all-you-can-eat" fish fry featuring beer-battered or baked cod, which is served on Wednesdays and Fridays. Quivey's Grove prides itself on using fresh and local ingredients when making its dishes. Lunch prices vary from $7 to $12. Dinner prices vary from $11 to $28.
The Stone House is the formal dining area at Quivey's Grove, while the Stable Grill is more casual and includes the bar area. In the summertime, Quivey's Grove offers its outdoor banquet facilities at the Paddock, an outdoor tent equipped with a bar, tables and chairs. Parties larger than 35 individuals can enjoy items such as barbeque pork ribs, turkey breast, boneless pork loin and ribs from the Paddock's outdoor smoke roaster.
Quivey's also offers a full wine, beer and spirits bar at its Stable Grill. You can order local craft beers such as New Glarus' Spotted Cow, Ale Asylum's Madtown Nutbrown, Capital Brewery's Island Wheat, Sprecher's Black Bavarian and Tyranena's Bourbon-Barrel Ale. Wines from local wineries, such as Wollersheim and Stone's Throw, are offered. Also, there are numerous wines from the Sonoma and Napa valleys of California, as well as other states. Quivey's Grove stores many of its wines in an underground wine cellar, which is located between the Stone House and Stable Grill and accessible only by a tunnel.
