Everyone needs some help or advice at one point or another, so why not take some for free: If applied and followed these tips should help you achieve more success within your business:

1. Find a niche or gap in the market, don't do what hundreds or thousands of people are doing instead why not find out what they are doing and be different, differentiate your product, business or service from there's to gain market share.

2. Take calculated risks. Don't be too hasty or quick to make decisions, instead weigh up the business, your ideas, opportunities and so on, see if they are viable before you risk any money, your house, your car and so on.

3. Know your market inside and out. Know your market better than your customers, do whatever market research necessary (within your financial means) to help you find out more about your market or markets, their size, the competition and so on. Try to be a few steps ahead of everyone else.

4. Have finance in place - Try to arrange all of your finance after you have produced a business plan and undertaking your market research.

5. Listen to your gut. If your instincts tell your something then try to listen to them, for example if people say something's not good or not worth the risk take into consideration their thoughts and opinions as well as your own. Don't just do what people say just because you think they might know better they might not!

6. Do it your own way. There is no one standard way to start or run a business. Remember though to start a business you have to be passionate, ambitious and thick skinned. You will come across a lot of critics who will try to bring you or your business down so be prepared.

7. Build up both your contacts and networks. Its good to have contacts in all sorts of places so start networking from the minute you decide to start up your business. When you think about it, each new person you meet knows lots of other people and soon word of mouth will start spreading about both you and your business, so make sure its positive word of mouth.

8. Be a negotiator. Being new in business or new to starting a business means that unfortunately there will be a lot of people out there who want to take advantage of you, but don't let them, read up on negotiation, be in the know and be as good at negotiation as the people who you are talking business with are!
