Bustling Bazaars of Lahore: A List Poem

National Poetry Month Challenge

Heather Carreiro
"Madam, idhar ao! You want fancy?"
"Chai, pani, milkshake, cold drinks!"
"You want shawls? Handmade from Kashmir!"
"Look here! Best price shop!"

Sweet tea brewing
Popcorn popping
Spicy snacks frying
Pungent perfumes

The click clack of heels
Impatient drivers honking
Generators buzzing
Constant chatter

Fine silk saris
Chiffon suits
Bright bangles
Shiny sequins

An assault to the senses
