Butchering of Indians

Racial Discrimination of Indians and Indian Students

jayanti raman
Time and again we read in electronic media that categorical and strategically Indians and Indian students who are studying abroad are intimidated and are subjected to racial discrimination and brutal violence and gang hostility. Ironically Indians abroad are the best and they spend a huge fortune for studying in those overseas University and Institutions.

Recent attacks on Indian students at Australia
It is paradox that Indian students studying at Australia are subjected to brutal violence, vindictive nastiness and cruelty, while these students pay on an average 2 million dollars and the total rough estimation of total money spend by all the students comes to approximately 50000000 dollars which goes to Australian education system, traveling and food . But still poor Indian students are subject to this kind of viciousness.

Even the Australian electronic media has sporadically protested but there too they have shown their racial discrimination and advising Indians about their behavior when they are outside. They made mocker of the responsibility by trying to portray clean image and a tourist destination rather than coming in the aid of the students.

One question raises in our mind what is Indian HRD is doing for the welfare of these poor students?

One more question raises in our mind what is the ministries are doing when such a large sum goes abroad while domestic industries are being starved?

Now that new government has come to power, it becomes its prime responsibility to safeguard the interests of Indian students abroad as well see how our own infrastrastructure is geared up for taking this challenge.

Similar attacks on Indians at America
Similar kind of attacks on Indians at America and some deaths have also taken place. On the name of cultural difference Indian women are subjected for Dots. Dots are worn by women on their forehead which is a custom in our society. In order to intimidate and terrorize Indian women such kinds of attacks have taken place in America too. Indians basically software engineers are on threat in America, which has to be taken seriously both by Indian as well as American government.

Therefore all concerned both at government level as well as at private level serious thinking as well as preventive mechanism has to take place, so that further such ugly incidents can be prevented. It becomes even electronic medium responsibility to raise questions and give a security cover to those students and software professionals to do their duty and their parents and well wishers in India have a sound and secure feeling for their loved ones.

There is no excuse, no validation, no ANYTHING that can make sense of that. It's just terrible, unforgiveable, and barbaric.

I'm so sorry about these injustices. I really hate violence, it's the epitomy of stupidity, and only really stupid people resort to it.

I had not heard of this, thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention in this way. Sadly discrimination like this continues to happen. It shows the ignorance of a few people.

Good article Jayanti. I think it's terrible how any group is discriminated against in such ways, including Indian people. A good reminder of the ignorance out there!
