Butterfly in the Crowd

A.M. Morgan
A Plain Jane walks into a room
She commands no attention
As a matter of fact most people won't even notice her
It's such a shame because she has a lot of knowledge and wisdom to share
Lend her your heart and she will always be there
She's a diamond but not in the essence of what you can see
She is pure and true in the rarest form
Slowly and casually she sheds her cocoon and floats like a butterfly
She demands respect and will accept nothing less
She marches to her own beat
Patiently awaiting the arrival of her soul mate
She continues to have faith that unconditional love awaits
She finds reassurance in the belief that ordinary people are beautiful too
If you would like to meet her just turn to your right or left
This kind of woman is always in the midst of you

Beautiful. Beauty is not just what is on the outside, but what is on the inside. Thank you for sharing.

That was so well put. It is a very beautiful poem and I feel to happy I stopped here today. This should be shared with all children. (Many adults could be reminded too!) A heartfelt, Bravo!

Yes this is extraordinary!!! Many times we miss the blessing because we only see the cocoon, and miss the flight of the butterfly.

Wow! This is something I have always thought about.
It is great because we often wonder about that person who is right or left of us along with ourselves who are left and right of the other woman. Beautifully written.
