ButYouDon'tLookSick.com: Online Site for Those Suffering with a Chronic Illness

Stefanie
Living with a chronic illness day in and day out can be often debilitating beyond imagination. Most of the time it's not so much the chronic illness as the people around that do not understand what you are going through that can be hard to live with. Fortunately there is a wonderful site online that not only has wonderful information, tips, recipes, product reviews and such for those living with chronic illnesses but there is a community message board which for all who are members is a home away from home. It's the best place to connect with people who understand and are often in the same situations you are and living with a debilitating chronic illness. www.butyoudontlooksick.com/boards/

Christine Meserandino is the founder and creator of the "Spoon Theory" www.butyoudontlooksick.com/the_spoon_theory/. Living herself with Lupus she not only founded this site but is an inspiration for all of us who are living with a chronic illness. She is a true testament to living life to the fullest and making your dreams come true no matter what your circumstances.

ButYouDontLookSick.com is informative and loving and comfort all in the same place. All the members agree that it's the best place online to be.

"Whether you want to visit the home page and read our myriad of articles, tips and stories, or visit our Message Boards, But You Don't Look Sick? is a home away from home. It's the perfect place to find Acceptance and understanding, no matter what illness you suffer from. I have been on the message boards for 3 yrs now and i log in every day to visit my Spoonie Family. I love my home here in Spoonville."

It is truly a place filled with love and support

This site truly is my home away from home. I have made friendships on this site that will last me a lifetime not to mention the support and understanding of hundreds of others who are facing the same daily difficulties as myself.

Whenever I need, I come to the site and read articles, get tips on kitchen gadgets that work for arthritis, meal plan ideas for the days that it hurts too much to cook, or just go to the chat room and catch up with others.

For those out there suffering with an illness or living with a family member who is suffering you can find helpful tips, articles, product reviews, personal essays, message boards, even an online store where you can buy humorous t-shirts, mugs and such with sayings pertaining to living with a chronic illness. www.cafepress.com/bydls

This is not just a sight but a home and place of comfort for those that unfortunately have to live daily with not just a chronic illness but an invisible illness as most who suffer, suffer quietly because it's not often seen on the outside the debilitating pain that is felt on the inside.

I recommend this site to everyone if you don't believe me just try it for yourself those who have tried it or stumbled upon it can't leave! It's addicting and wonderful you are accepted with open arms and fall in love at first sight.

"ButYouDontLookSick.com is an oasis from a world that doesn't understand or accept illness and disability. I have felt very isolated by my illness, and have been surrounded by people who don't understand. Here at BYDLS, I have found a level of warmth, compassion and understanding that I didn't know could exist. I am truly grateful for all the connections and friendships that I have made here. It's a real blessing to be able to connect with so many people who are living such similar struggles with humour and grace."

BYDLS has helped me in so many ways...one important thing is the lasting friendship and caring environment!

I truly believe that this is Christine's intent and the intent of ButYouDontLookSick.com to help all those who suffer one person at a time.
