Buxton's Biggest Little Bag: As Seen on TV

In case you aren't familiar with this product, you can view the TV commercial with sound. If you'd prefer, here's a picture of the bag. This review of the Buxton Organizer Leather Shoulder Bag is my opinion for the purpose of providing information to potential buyers

The Buxton bag is now available in retail stores. I bought one from Walmart. I had seen the TV commercial many times and was enticed by the advertising claim that the things I carry could be organized. I could even carry a couple bottles of water and an umbrella. I don't carry an umbrella, but this was my opportunity to have this wonderful organizer bag and not even have to pay for shipping! I was looking forward to getting home so I could get organized. Since the bag was packed in a box I didn't inspect it at the store.

I got home, unpacked the bag and started exploring compartments, unzipping zippers, only to discover that the compartments are Barbie doll size. My wallet wouldn't even fit, let alone my checkbook, glasses, medicine, notebook, pen, hand sanitizer, and keys. The cell phone pouch barely held my cell phone. I would've had to find another place for the Bluetooth.

The bag is advertised as having 16 pockets. In my attempt to count them, I'd first have to define "pocket." Is the credit card holder considered a pocket? I opened a zipper that didn't even lead to a pocket. When it's unzipped it allows the inside compartment to expand. Even when expanded, it's still too small for my things. When I attempted to relocate a compartment I had found once, I wasn't able to find it again. I don't need a purse or bag that requires a diagram.

The TV commercial is very well done in that it's actually believable. My sense of practical wisdom was dulled by the fantasy of an ideal purse.

In reality, the Buxton Organizer Leather Shoulder Bag does not even come close to being true to its claims. I do not recommend buying this product. I returned the Buxton bag/purse to Walmart the next day and feel much more content with the bag I've been using for the past couple years.
