I just found a new store where you can buy all natural cigarettes, like American Spirits, for only $25 per carton! The store is called, Tobacco Road, and apparently they are all over the place. I was paying up to $7 or more for a pack of American Spirits. I know in some parts of the country people are paying even more than that for regular Camels and Marlboros.
I was smoking American Spirits because after switching to them, I just couldn't stomach other brands anymore. Camels used to be my preferred brand, but now they just taste like rat poison to me. I honestly can't tolerate all the chemicals other cigarettes have added to them. One day I was helping a buddy move and another friend of his who was helping asked me if he could bum a cigarette. I said, "sure" and pulled out my pack of Camels. When he saw I was smoking Camels, he said, "no thanks."
I asked him what he smoked and he told me he only smoked American Spirits. I thought there must be something pretty special about those cigarettes if he's so devoted to them, he'll turn down another brand even when he's out. So, I decided to try them and now I'm spoiled forever. I got some of my other friends to switch to American Spirits and they can't go back to their other brands either.
So, the other day I was hanging out with a buddy of mine who started smoking Spirits and he said he heard of this store, Tobacco Road, that sells cartons of all natural cigarettes for only $25. He gave me their business card that had addresses to all their locations on it and I decided to go to the nearest one the next day.
It's a pretty cool place. Basically, you walk in there and tell them what brand you normally smoke. The guy behind the counter quickly blends some tobacco and rolls you a cigarette to try. If you like it, he sells you all the tobacco and cigarette tubes you need to make a carton (200 cigs). Then you go to the back of the store where they have machines that will manufacture your cigarettes for you. Because I was a first-time customer, I actually got a buy-one-get-one deal. So I got two cartons for $25. The whole process took about 30 minutes. I got a cup of coffee inside the store and smoked a cig outside while I waited for the machine to churn out my smokes.
Now I have 400 cigarettes, which will last me about two months, and it only cost me $25 and 30 minutes of my time. It's such a relief not having to worry abut buying cigarettes anymore. Look up "Tobacco Road" and see if there's a store near you. Trust me, it's worth it.
