This New Bosch is Not What Your Mother Used!

I bet you have not noticed how fancy dishwashers are becoming with today's technology. I had an opportunity to evaluate a few dishwashers in action lately in order to provide readers with some insight to the new-age technology of the common dishwasher. Rest assured, this is not what your mother used! One of the wonderful dishwashing units I had the joy of checking out was the Bosch model SHX46A02UC. This is Bosch's 24 inch Integra Design Built in Dishwasher. It introduces itself at less than a cool $800, which in comparison with other dishwashers in its class, is a head turner in the affordability department.

This wonderful model is a member of the Energy Star Qualified line of large appliances. Having an Energy Star Qualified appliance will save you quite a chunk of change in the long run, because Energy Star qualified products earn their titles by using less energy and water to perform the same job that other large appliances perform. The unit I evaluated was a sleek and smooth black ebony colored dishwasher, which was 34 inches in height, 23 and 9/16 inches in width and 22 and 7/16 inches deep. These are important measurements, and I will remind you to measure the space you intend to have this dishwasher installed to prior to purchasing, just to be sure that it fits upon delivery!

When you turn this little jewel on, it barely makes a sound! This quiet worker has earned a 50dB slience rating. On the inside, you will find a stainless steel "TallTub" which will maximize your area for loading up soiled dishware. There is a removable top rack, which is a wonderful feature because it allows for you to wash large items, such as over-sized stockpots, which would not fit well in traditional dishwashers not sharing the same feature. This unit comes equipped with a flow through heating element which makes sure that all water that enters the dishwasher is the appropriate temperature for the wash cycle selected, and allows you to store any additional items that may be plastic or other compromisable material in the lower rack.

This dishwasher includes a triple filtration system, and the Sensotronic wash system, which uses a scanner to reduce your water usage by up to forty percent in order to minimize water waste. One thing I liked about this unit, was that the steam produced during the wash cycle is contained within the unit and not expelled into your open areas outside of the dishwasher. There is also a very handy AquaStop Leak Protection monitor. If at any time this dishwashing unit detects waster in the base of the unit, the water is automatically shut off. This will put your mind to ease if you have had to worry about floor or cabinet damage in the past with other models. The NSF has certified that this dishwashing unit successfully kills 99.999% of all bacteria during wash cycles.

If you want to talk about space, you have lots of it, this unit boasts and extra large capacity! This wonderful unit will accommodate up to twelve place settings and you can safely wash your heirloom crystal or your favorite china because there is a wash cycle just for that! Along with the purchase of this unit, you get the manufacturer's full warranty on parts which is good for two years, and the manufacturer's warranty for labor which is good for one full year, in the event your new dishwasher should need repairs. Remember that purchase of certain large appliances are eligible for rebates, so be sure to ask your sales associate at time of purchase!
