Buyer's Guide: Where to Buy Sod?

I do suggest that for those who are not living in Colorado to search for a sod farm or sod farms in their area because most sod farms or landscape companies deliver within a certain area. An example would be, if you live in Southern California you can go to Sod.com and they deliver within your area but do not deliver to Northern California.

For Northern Colorado your choices are numerous for great sod. Regardless of how big or small your landscaping project is you will find what you need with these companies.

Skyline Sod is located in Ault Colorado and online at www.skylinesod.com. There website is super user friendly, easily navigated and informative. You can reach them by phone at 970-834-1100, and they actually answer their phone personally not by machine. These folks take the headache out of buying sod. Skyline Sod offers Kentucky bluegrass and Fescue turf for you to choose from. They also guarantee your sod will not be cut in excess of 12 hours from their most mature crop of sod. They are also listed with the rockymtnbbb.com.
Prices start at .25 per square foot and increase with grade of sod.

Korby Sod and Landscaping is located in Fort Collins Colorado. They offer big rolls for your football field to smaller rolls for your personal yard. They did a nice job at our local high school here in Windsor. They offer a variety of grass blends that you do not find elsewhere. You can find them online at www.korbysod.com and their phone number is 970-568-7633.

The Sod Guy is in Parker Colorado and online at www.thesodguy.com , and you can also reach them at 303-841-7575. The Sod Guy is great if you live in Denver and surrounding areas. Their website is another example of user friendly. Their prices start at .29 per square foot.

OK Doke Sod is located in Longmont Colorado and online at www.okdoke.com , and their phone number is 1-303-776-2300.

Here is what I found to be the same about all four companies. First they all offer delivery and installation services. If you would rather pick up your sod onsite you can do that also. Prices are very similar going up slightly depending on the type of sod you are purchasing. On their websites is an amazing amount of information from what to do before your purchase, during and after. And you must check out their gallery shots, simply beautiful.
