Depending on the auction you go to, you can find a wide variety of vehicles. You never know what's there until you check it out. You could get an old police car, heavy trucks, service vehicles, and any number of regular cars. If you've always wanted a luxury vehicle you may find one at an auto auction if you're diligent. If you've done the research you can find just about anything for an affordable price.
Check out the auctions near you. Many newspapers have listings that give details about auction dates and so forth. Even better are online auction sites which oftentimes not only list the auctions, but list the cars as well. There are several sites that allow you to bid through solely online auctions. They list detailed history reports so you can check out the car of your dreams without ever leaving your desk. Be sure to do research on the individual cars you're interested in so that you don't overbid.
If you're going to a live auction near you, make sure to take advantage of the inspection day. This is the time where you can check out the cars (probably not test drive) that are up for sale. Look them over, write down the ID number, and find a car history report online. Make sure you're looking at a quality car. Also, pick more than one car so you're no crushed if the car of your dreams is sold to someone else. If you're working with a budget and you set your sights on an in-demand car, you might be disappointed when it goes for higher than you would have liked. So check out more than one car.

Post a CommentThe downside to this, is that alot of these auctions require a party to be a dealer to be able to be a member, thus able to purchase an automobile from that auction. Which can prove to be a downside.
