On to it shall we?
The Top 12 Resources for Ebay Users Are:
Ebay.com;
Ok, this one is a no brainer, but I had to put it at number one because, well, it's from the "horses mouth" so to speak. Ebay has so many helpful resources and tools to use that people in their hurry to buy or sell sometimes forget to look at the most common things. Here are some of their best tools.
For Buyer or Seller:
1. "Closed Item Search" or "Completed Items Search" on Ebay;
If you want to know what an item has sold for recently so you know what your item is worth (if you're selling), or if you want to buy a specific item and want to know what the average going price is you can actually just use their "Advanced Search" and enter your item in the blank box, then check off the "Completed Items" box, hit "search" and it will show you what the item has sold for recently. This is a remarkably helpful tool and much too often overlooked, but could really save you time and money.
2. EBAY "Completed Listings Search" ;
Just as easy, is the "Completed Listings" search under "Preferences". To find this, just go to ebay.com, type in your item of interest in the search bar and click "Search" as you normally would. Now, along the left column where you can see many headings such as, "Refine Search" and below that box you'll see another one called "Preferences". Under that heading you'll see things like "buying formats", "show only" and "location". Choose the "Completed Listings" button under "Show Only" box and it automatically sorts through those that have already sold and give you the run down. If the item is listed in RED, it did NOT sell, if it is in GREEN it DID sell. This way you can check out many attributes of the item and reasons it might have sold, or not. Very handy indeed.
3. Ebay for Sellers: Seller Information
If you want to sell something on Ebay there are many things you may want to research and get help with before jumping right in. Ebay offers tons of help with this and includes lots of seller help under the "Sell" tab, like: "Seller Information Center", "What's Hot" on eBay pulse, or "Seller Tools", "Shipping Center", "Apps Center" and even a "Sell for Charity" tab. Lots of good stuff under these and I recommend at least giving them a perusal before selling any item on Ebay.
4. For EBAY Buyers or Sellers on Ebay: Community
Ebay offers a wealth of information through their "Community" button too, such as the "Announcements" which will keep you up to date on their latest happenings, the all-important "Answer Center" which does just what it promises, answers almost anything about Ebay you'd want to know. And "Discussion Forums" if you want to post your ideas, questions, rants or what-have you with the rest of the Ebay community. Also "Groups", "Neighborhoods" and even a "Garden by eBay" where the newest ideas come from. All quite useful.
5. For EBAY Buyers or Sellers; Auction Bargain Finder Tool;
Download from Cnet here
In their own words: "A New, Revolutionary FREE Tool That Searches Marketplaces, Finds Bargains Online And Instantly Locates The Cheapest Price For The Item You're Looking For".
This one I haven't tried yet, because I always use eBay's tools, but from what I can see, it's a FREE download that promises to find you the Bottom-Dollar Deals in Seconds for whatever item you're searching for across all countries of eBay, Amazon, (a total of 5 different marketplaces), by using many techniques including checking for misspelled items too. So here's the scenario: say a listing is misspelled and no one can find it (example; someone listed an item called "Harry Potted" instead of "Harry Potter" and no one finds his item because of the misspelling), but with this auction bargain finder free download it promised to also look through all the misspellings of the item you're looking for and bingo! ...you've just found it even cheaper because no one even bids on the misspelled item. Get it? I'm definitely going to try this one.
Helpful Ebay Tools from Goofbay eBay Tools:
6. Ebay Price Finder:
Ebay Price finder tool is my favorite and people will really think you have a crystal ball, using Ebay Price Finder you can check what something has sold for. So if you've ever wondered what something is really worth according to ebay's sellers, use this tool to see what items really go for (sell for) on ebay.
Not in Title Search, Allows you to search for items where the seller has not entered what the item actually is in the listing title.
With Feedback Checker you can Study feedback from any seller to see how trustworthy they really are and how reliable they may be, see if they have a lot of negative feedback.
9. Ebay Seller History Checker;
With Seller History Checker you can See how much a user has sold and how much they made on eBay.
With Ebay Best Offers Checker you can Study what a seller will accept (and has accepted), and what you could save, by using their best offer systems.
11. Ebay Most Popular Checker;
With Ebay Most Poplular Checker you can Find the hottest items selling on eBay. This one's great if you plan on selling the "hot' items and want to cash in on the latest fads.
With Ebay Bid History you can Use it to study what a user is bidding on from eBay.
So that's it folks.
Hope all these tools and resources help you to find the best deals, make you money, find the best of the best auction finder tools for online sellers and buyers, I put it all together for you from months of trial and error and these eBay helper tools you might not have otherwise found, so here's to wishing you the best online experience.
Happy buying, selling and bidding!

Post a CommentInteresting. I have thought about trying to sell some stuff, but when I go to their site I always end up buying instead.
I remember the good ol' days of eBay when you could buy artifical limbs, pornographic turtle sculptures and rock music bootlegs. However, if I ever get back into eBay, now I won't be so lost. Thanks.
Thanks for the hugely needed tips for anyone that is considering selling on the site. I have heard that many people do quite well. My daughter buys stuff all of the time from eBay, and so far everything has lived up to its promise.
I don't use eBay but this is interesting.
Never, never again... after they refused that a DVD I bought that was advertised as having subtitles in English but only had subtitles in Korean was beyond their ability to judge false advertising.
I'm forwarding the link to this article on to two people that want to sell on ebay.
I have things I need to sell on Ebay too. Bookmarked!
I love using EBay, both to buy and sell. I admit I never knew there was a 'Community' section though!
You really know your site at EBay. I have much less of a clue as I tried to sell my books there but it didn't work. Great advice and should book mark this Candice.
My husband sells on e-bay he does pretty good at it. Great tips here, thanks.
