Buying Softball Batting Gloves that Fit

It is Very Important to Know What to Look For

Rodney Southern
Picking the right pair of softball batting gloves is a big deal to the majority of players, and with good reason. A pair of softball batting gloves that are ill fitting can be a huge distraction and defeat the purpose of wearing them in the first place - for padding and grip. There are literally thousands of softball batting gloves out there ranging in price from a couple bucks to near triple digits. Finding the right pair for you does not have to be challenging, however. You simply need to look at your situation and know how to fit them correctly.

A good place to start is to look at yourself as a softball player. Do you really need those top of the line softball batting gloves? If you are not playing professional softball, then chances are you can get away with a cheaper pair. This does not mean to go out and buy two dollar softball gloves. It does mean that you do not need to spend more than twenty bucks to find a great pair.

Once you know the price range, do some searching online. You can compare many stores prices at a glance this way, and maybe even find your purchase online. If you need the softball batting gloves right away, then you can always just write down the prices and head out to the store once you find the brand that you need.

Once at the store, you should try on the softball batting gloves to get a good fit. A good pair of batting gloves will fit snug but not tight. If they are tight, then you need to go up one size. As a matter of fact, many batting gloves will shrink a bit once you sweat into them. Because of this, you need to buy them a little big rather than a little small.

Softball batting gloves are of absolutely no use when they are too small or too large. They slip and slide, or cut off your blood circulation to your hands depending on which. Because of this, make sure that you get a good fit.

Buying softball batting gloves can really be that easy.

Great tips. We just got my daughter a new pair with that shock absorbent technology. She's gonna get to try them out when we go to District Tournaments in 2 weeks! yay!

I agree with Laurie. I made a mess of it when I bought our oldest son his first softball glove. I think it was larger than his head!

Could have used this a few years back when I was buying all that softball stuff for my girls.
