Buying a White Christmas Tree

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas Tree

Jessica Shieler
Looking to be a little different this year, how about a white Christmas for this year's favorite holiday decoration! There are so many creative ways to decorate with a White tree, using all of one color or mixing it up with some homemade felt ornaments. You can even spice things up with untraditional colored lights such as blue, purple or pink. I researched 5 stores for prices and size. I focused on stores that are more common in a variety of areas such as Target and Wal-mart. The first store I checked was Target.

Target had more variety online than at the store itself. I found this to be truth for all of the stores researched. Target carried one of the most unique tree's I found which was a white goose feather tree for under $25 bucks. They also carried a 7 foot Pre-Lit Iridescent White Glacier Tree for $199.99. Another option they had was a 6.5' Pre-Lit White Spencer Tree for under $70 dollars. Both of these trees came with hinged limbs and a tree stand.

If your wanting a larger selection, JC Penny's has tree's ranging from $34.99 to $449.99 dollars. They had a gorgeous 6.5' Arctic Pine White Half Christmas Tree on sale 79.99. Most stores are already getting into the sale spirit; with a little smart shopping you could find some great deals on some beautiful trees.

Wal-Mart carried a similar version for a little cheaper price. I found a great deal on a 4' Indiana Spruce White Tree with Clear Lights for $25 dollars. This is a perfect size for someone who doesn't want the big tree or has limit space. You're still able to get a great effect with a tree this size. If you wanting something a little larger but still under $100 try the 7' Prescott Pre-Lit White Pine Tree With Clear Lights.

A popular size for a Christmas tree is 6.5'. You can find an amazing white tree of this height at Sears for 149.99 or at K-Mart for 127.99. Both trees come pre-lit and with hinged limbs. When looking for the perfect tree be sure to measure the distance from your floor to ceiling, so that you known what size tree will fit in your dwelling. Most trees come with hinged branches so you don't have to figure out which limb goes where.

Have fun and enjoy your time tree shopping. For many, putting up the tree sparks the beginning of the holiday season. Be creative, be unique, and have a wonderful Christmas!
