A Poem
By now you should know
That I have feelings for you
Sometimes I speak utter nonsense to you
When there's nothing to say
Just so I can have an excuse to talk to you
I look forward to your responses
Waiting impatiently for you to say something
Hoping to keep the line of communication going
It isn't much maybe
This long distance friendship
Sustained by my hope for something more
But it means a big deal to me
By now you should know
If you feel something for me
Maybe you cannot define it exactly
But you should know if there's something there
You should know if you enjoy hearing from me
Regardless of what I have to say
By now you should know that I long to hear from you
Even when I haven't said anything
And by now you should know that it saddens me
When you don't say anything at all.
