Intrigued with the concept of word of mouth marketing I found myself wanting to know how I could become a BzzAgent myself and try products for free. After going to the BzzAgent website I discovered that the initial setup is easy, although it does take some time to fill out all of the information. When I signed up, I was given a series of surveys to complete so that the site could match me to current word of mouth marketing campaigns. Filled with questions about shopping habits, food allergies, likes, dislikes and more, these surveys give BzzAgent a snapshot of who I am as a shopper.
Once my account was set up, I initially found the site to be a little confusing. There is a lot of information to take in, and it takes some initiative to navigate the site pages and figure out how the BzzAgent campaigns work. Once I got my bearings though, I discovered that all I really had to do was wait to be notified of new campaigns as they become available.
My first campaign offers started trickling in after a couple of weeks, and the more campaigns that I've completed, the more I've come to enjoy the BzzAgent site. All that it takes to complete a campaign is to try free products (obtained through coupons or sent via mail to my home) and share the experience with friends either face to face, through Facebook or Twitter or through a blog posting, which are all things that I do when I find something new that I like anyway!
Now that I've used it for a couple of months, I see BzzAgent.com as a site that has given businesses and consumers a new way to interact. Not only does the site give businesses instant feedback from the customers they are trying to reach, but it also provides people like me a way to try new products without having to making a purchase. BzzAgent has married word of mouth marketing with up to date technology and the result is a fun, easy and interactive program that I will continue to joy for years to come.
