Lord,
t thank you for this
little country home.
There are cows grazing
in a nearby pasture,
and trees all around
keeping me cool all summer,
and green grass growing
in the yard,
and a little ferral cat named Funny Face
that you sent for me to feed.
She gives me such joy.
You gave me all this
and purple flowers growing right in front of me too.

Sounds like a peaceful place to live. I grew up right next to a woods with fields on the other sides. I loved to take hikes through the woods and just be with nature. I still love camping. Now I live with fields all around me; I wish we had more trees.
Great Poem. My dad owns a cabin in the woods in northern Wisconsin. It is our favorite place to visit during the summer.
Lovely poem! I've always wanted a log cabin in the mountains with a stream running through the front yard.
