Cadillac Converj Concept

Those who missed the New York Auto Show, including myself, don't know what the Converj Concept is really like, but from the look of those photos, it's something to create a fuss over! Amazing how Cadillac suddenly got the idea that old people (majority of Cadillac customers) die fast, and to keep the company going, some young blood needs to get their hands on their wheels. I think finally they got the idea. And what an idea.

Let's start with the exterior. Right off the bat, this car reminds me of the Cien Concept for some reason. There are a few aspects, a few lines that point towards it. Bummer that the Cien never really became anything, but let's see if the Converj makes up for it. As far as exterior styling is concerned, it still looks like it was designed by someone who had nothing but a ruler, but now, I think that someone with the knowledge of curves has stepped in and added a few of those! I'll be the first to say that already, I like this car! The headlights are menacing, the tail lights are elegant, the shape is beautiful, and the interior..., wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyways, as far as exterior is concerned, Cadillac has done the trick. It has won a 19 year-olds boy's heart! And I'm over 40 years away from being 60; and that's like 10 years away from the average Cadillac buyer! Way to go Caddi!

Now, let's talk about the interior. No, wait, I think it's time to move on because I am lost for words. The only way you can understand how I feel, is to look at it yourself. And I can help you with that; just Click Here. OK, Cadillac, if you ever come across this article, I am on my knees, begging you to change absolutely NOTHING if this concept will ever face production.

Here's something else to the Cadillac officials: Please, for the love of Pete, make the car! Don't be like Jaguar who likes to make concepts, but not the cars, actually make the car! This is the real deal for anyone who wants a small car that looks obnoxiously good inside out! Oh, and one more minor thing - make it ride as good as it looks. Just an afterthought.

Overall Rating: 5/5
Interior Rating: 5/5
Exterior Rating: 5/5
Performance Rating: -/5 (Because this is still a concept car, performance rating does not count)

I've been into cars for a long time now. It started as a little kid when I started drawing cars for fun. My cars, though, did not have guns and fins on them, well, most of them didn't, to say the least. I fo...  View profile
