If you are looking for a quiet place to get away for a weekend or even a romantic week trip- Caesar's Resorts in the Poconos is the place for you.

My husband came home on leave from Iraq for 2 weeks in February 2005. We wanted to get some alone time, so we packed our bags and snuck away to Cove Haven. Cove Haven is a couple's only resort located near Lakeville, Pennsylvania on Lake Wallenpaupack. Cove Haven is the most secluded resort to ensure that it's a romantic experience. It is a little bit on the expensive side, but its well worth the splurge and it is all-inclusive. A typical room is between $285 and $580 depending on the type you would like.

Upon arriving at the resort which is nestled in the woods, we went into the lobby and checked in. Our room was to be done by 3pm, but it wasn't ready until 5pm. We were assured that we would be compensated for the delay, and we were welcome to dive in and take advantage of all they had to offer. All guests are also invited to stay until 5pm the day of check-out to get a full day of fun in.

When our room was ready, we drove over and parked. The resort is beautiful on its own, and the snow settled on the trees made it feel like a winter wonderland. While we were exploring our room, there was a knock at the door, and outside a bottle of champagne and 2 flutes were waiting courtesy of the manager.

Our room, the Cove Harbour had a heart-shaped whirlpool tub, a glass shower, balcony with furniture, and a round bed with a starry scene on the ceiling. The room alone can surely re-kindle the romance, but what makes it better is being there with someone special.

Dinner is served in the Coliseum dining room, and we were seated with 3 other couples. Our first night, we enjoyed dinner from a menu, and our second night we were eating from a buffet. There was plenty of food, and it was absolutely delicious. Breakfast is also served there in the mornings. If you'd prefer- you can have breakfast in bed, delivered directly to your door. We took advantage of the breakfast in bed. If you get the late night munchies, the snack shop is open or you can order room service.

There is certainly no lack of things to do. A few of the activities available were: snowmobiling, horseback riding, skating, an indoor pool, archery, games, movies, and a night club. As a guest at Cove Haven, we were invited to travel to the other resorts owned by Caesar's and take advantage of the activities they have there.

We spent a lot of time in our whirlpool and just relaxing. We went snowmobiling, played in the arcade, and enjoyed each others company. I've never had so much fun, and I never wanted it to end. Now, I look forward to our next romantic get-away with Caesar's.
