Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix Review

Coffee, Sugar, and Creamer; All in One Convenient Travel Packet

Alexandra Morgan
Admittedly, there are many products that I try and have a fairly good reaction to, but which don't become regular purchases for me; the dollar store's Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix however, may just become a recurring purchase.

I don't believe in spending a fortune for anything, perhaps that is partly because I don't have a fortune to spend; but I'd like to think that even if I had it, I wouldn't spend it. At any rate, because of my distaste for paying more than a product is worth; I'm always scouring discount stores and testing products, hoping to find a new winner. While shopping last week, I happened upon Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix in my local dollar store. I was out of coffee creamer anyway, why not try it?

Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix: Product Idea and Packaging

How convenient; coffee, creamer, and sugar all in one little to go packet. Whoever invented Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix is a true coffee drinker; these convenient little packets offer a quick and easy one step instant coffee option while out and about. Each box of Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix contains about 10 individually wrapped packets of the coffee, creamer, and sugar in one, for ultimate convenience.

These little packets are perfect for taking in your purse, stowing in the car glove box or console for out and about travel use, or for camping trips; the only other thing you need to remember to bring is a spoon or stir stick to stir your one step instant coffee.

Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix: Product Performance

My opinion on this product should be taken with the knowledge that I'm not incredibly particular about coffee; I prefer that it's not burnt and that there are no grounds floating around in it, and I'm partial to Folgers, but that's about as far as it goes.

To make, just heat a tea kettle on the stove or nuke a mug of water in the microwave, then pour the contents of one individually wrapped Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix packet into your hot water and stir. How easy and convenient is that? One step instant coffee.

Now on to taste, Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix doesn't meet the taste standard of the Folgers Chocolate Silk coffee, but it's not bad. The mocha flavoring could stand to be a little stronger because, at least to my palette, it's barely detectable. Thankfully the coffee mix is not too sweet, that would have been the kiss of death for me; you can always add more, but you can't take out what's already there. The actual coffee itself (sweetness and mocha flavoring aside) is just okay; not as bad as Chock full o' Nuts and not as great as Folgers.

Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix: Overall

On a coffee rating, I would give Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix two and a half out of five stars; it was just okay, nothing more and nothing less.

However, I give the idea five stars; and because of how functional it is, I will definitely be buying this all in one coffee mix again. Besides, I only paid $1 for the coffee mix.

As I said, I picked this product up for $1 at my local dollar store, but the traditional retail price listed on some online shopping sites is around $3.50.

If you tend to be out a lot, you'll want to give Café Mazel Mocha Coffee Mix a try.

Cocodehart@yahoo.com I can't find an official Cafe Mazel site, there is a site that looks like its official website but many of the pages aren't fully functioning. If you should change your mind and want to buy online, here's a spot that sells it (of course Amazon and Ebay and many others do too): http://www.takeherb.com/brand.asp?brand=Cafe+Mazel

I keep asking for the Mazell website showing where to buy Mazell coffee in northern California. I get Maxwell, not what I asked for. I've written to Mazell but there has never been an answer. How can I buy the coffee if you won't help me do so. No, I will not order anything over the Internet as I've been stung too many times. Scammers know where to play. For heaven's sake, where can I buy the coffee?

I actually found the Mazel to be quite poor in taste. It was like watered down charcoal water. I do credit it with getting me interested in trying other types of 3 in 1 instant coffees, and I did manage to find other brands that tasted significantly better. Of course they cost a little bit more (only a few cents more per stick), but you really do get what you pay for.

LoL! I'm here online looking for the Cafe Mazel coffee packets because the dollar store is all out and found this review! My husband is totally hooked and scooped up the last 3 boxes they had. Although mine is not the Mocha but the original coffee mix. I usually drink my coffee black and wasn't sure I would like the creamer, but it's really good. My husband has been getting acid indigestion from other brews and that's why he has taking a fancy to Cafe Mazel brand. It has more of a smooth taste. Great stuff! Off in search for more!

How cool Melody! I guess Mazel would be a much-needed donation item I could get for our troops then, thanks for the tip!

I agree totally. I'm the president of an organization called Treasure Our Troops.org and we get these and send them to our deployed troops. They can get hot water to drink pretty much when they want it (unless out on a mission) so this is perfect. Fill the thermos up with hot water, then add as many Mazel's as they need to to fill the thermos. Great invention!

what a bummer that the dollar tree in your area stopped carrying them. i know that the mazel mocha coffee is available for a fairly decent price on Amazon, certainly not as good a price as Dollar Tree, but they do have it.

I love the taste of the Mazel Mocha coffee. The problem is that all the Dollar Tree stores have discontinued selling it. Would welcome any info as to where I can purchase it. I live in the Birmingham/Jasper Al. area.
