Cafe Intermezzo in Atlanta, Georgia

It doesn't matter if you're looking for a place to eat a light salad or a hardy meal; Café Intermezzo has got it all. I came across Café Intermezzo last year when a friend of mine invited me to lunch. The moment I walked into the space it reminded me of some small bistro in Europe. It's no wonder they call Café Intermezzo a European coffeehouse, because it truly is and right here in your own neighborhood!

The atmosphere in Café Intermezzo boasts lovely black metal bistro chairs and tables as well as unexpected figures with waterfalls and lovely artwork. The other thing you'll notice about Café Intermezzo is the very large selection of desserts near the front entrance which is sure to entice you even before you order your meal. That's why Café Intermezzo is a great place to have just dessert and a lovely cup of fancy coffee on that first date or perhaps married couples would enjoy it on their date night.

I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at Café Intermezzo in Sandy Springs, Georgia and I couldn't wait to just relax in that atmosphere. I typically try a soup and sandwich, but this time I felt like something a little different so I went for one of their famous crepes. I chose a lovely spinach and avocado crepe and it was magnificent! It was flavorful and light, but still managed to satisfy a healthy appetite.

The other items that were served at our table were a healthy portion of lasagna and a very tasty chicken Cesar salad. One thing you need to know about Café Intermezzo is the fact that they have so many items to choose from, that it will be very difficult to try just one dish at a time. You may be tempted to try at least a salad and an entrée and follow that up with a lovely piece of pie or cake. Now, it's okay to splurge sometimes, that just means an extra mile around the track or an extra hour at the gym, but its well worth it!
