Calamity Jane's Hamburger Parlour Restaurant Review

CJMathis
Calamity Jane's Hamburger Parlour Restaurant is located in Sandy, Oregon. Parking at this restaurant is easy to access and if there is overflow from their small lot there is parking allowed at the auto repair shop right next door. So parking is not a difficult thing to find when looking for a good meal at Calamity Jane's.

The restaurant itself is build to give you a feeling of the old country days. Packed full of antique items, seating is easy to accommodate since the large dining area is packed with old fashion wooden tables and chairs that are quite large and comfortable. There are also two dining areas and an outdoor patio area with seating for a warm day.

Service was very good and our waitress was quite knowledgeable about the foods on the menu. She was prompt with water and drinks and was always checking on our progress.

The food at Calamity Jane's is just what it's name says, a large selection of Hamburgers. Prices range from $10.69 to $7.39. Choose from 40 different varieties of Hamburgers such as honey Lovin' Jimmy Carter Peanut Butter Burger to the Teriyaki Burger or Texas Red. You can also order the Hot Fudge/Marshmallow burger for dessert.

Calamity Jane's also has Pizza Burgers which are Burgers made with the ingredients of your favorite pizza. These range from $11.45 to $8.79. With all of Calamity Jane's burgers you have the choice of 1/3, 2/3, or an entire pound of meat.

Calamity Jane's also serves hot sandwiches such as broiled Chicken Sandwich, Fried Chicken & Ham Sandwich and many others kinds of hot sandwiches. Dinners are Liver and onions, Flame Broiled Beast of Chicken, Chicken Strips, Halibut Fish & Chips, Pot Roast, Meat Loaf and of course Country Fried Steak. You can pick up a salad for the lighter meal or a cold BLP, Roast Beef Sandwich, Ham Sandwich or Pastrami. All ranging from $10.95 to $2.99. Sides at Calamity Jane's are onion rings, soup of the day, chili and French fries for about $4.99.

This location is a fantastic place for the traveler to stop if they are crossing over the Cascade Mountain Range from Bend to the Portland or Coastal Oregon area. Their second location is fantastic for those traveling to the Oregon Coast by way of Lincoln City.

For drinks you can have Pop, Iced Tea, Old Fashioned Lemonade and of coarse the old fashioned malt or shake of just about any flavor imaginable. When done with your meal be sure to try out the great Mountain Berry Cobbler or Bread Pudding.

They do have some different items. It would be nice to go somewhere that doesn't have the same old thing. Nice review. :-)

Peanut butter hamburger?! I don't think so! Sounds like a great place for a burger lover, though. I think I'd stick with the cobber or bread pudding.

Now you've got me wondering if I misinterpreted your avatar initials? CJ? Calamity Jane? Tell me I'm wrong. Calamity Jane and all the other old cowboys make for some interesting reading and viewing. If anyone claims women never made history, they must not have figured on such persons as Belle Starr, Calamity Jane, or Annie Oakley! Oh. This article was about hamburgers! It was the name Calamity Jane that drew me, though. Can't afford to travel, and don't know if I'd go if I could. Such a homebody...

It sounds good. I love that you say 'pop'! I remember that is what we said when I lived in CA, then when i moved to Texas, everything was coke, no matter what kind!
