California Adventure: Hollywood Pictures Backlot

Disneyland has been around for over fifty years now. This park has been the bar for not only Disney theme parks, but other parks across the world. This article is about Disneyland's sister park. California Adventure has been open a few years, but is still in the baby stages in my opinion. This park has brought over some of the coolest attractions from Disney World, and also created some attractions for Disney World.

Hollywood Pictures Backlot: Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, "Disney's Aladdin A Musical Spectacular", Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, Muppet Vision 3D, Turtle and Talk with Crush. As you can see this part of the park has a multitude of popular and high end attractions.

The most popular attraction by far in this part of the park is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This attraction brings the crowds over from Disneyland to California Adventure. Tower of Terror is an awesome freefall ride with the Twilight Zone interlaced in the attraction. The beauty of this ride is the intricate detail in the queue and actual ride. The drop is the finale, but the effects and storyline make this one of my favorite Disney attractions of all time. I would suggest visiting this attraction early in the morning or getting a Fastpass early in the morning.

Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue is a very simple dark ride. This type of ride emulates dark rides in Fantasyland with better special effects. This ride follows the storyline of the movie. This attraction can have long lines or short lines depending on the day. I suggest riding early in the day or late at night.

"Disney's Aladdin A Musical Spectacular" is one of the best Disney stage shows to have been produced, or so I have heard. I have not seen this show, so all my recommendations come from other people. I have heard some great things about this show and the theater so I would suggest seeing this show either first show or last show to get the best seating.

Playhouse Disney Live on Stage is a live show that takes characters from Bear in the Big Blue House and other Playhouse Disney characters to make a great live show. Again I have not seen this show but I have read this show is great for your little ones. This is a show for kids to have fun and adults to get off their feet.

Muppet Vision 3D is a very entertaining show for all ages. This show I have seen and I do enjoy the pre show and the show itself. The design of the entire show building is very fun and true to the Muppets characters. I suggest this show for all ages and any time of the day.

Turtle and Talk with Crush is once again another show I have not yet taken the time to see. This show has gotten some very good reviews because of the technology in this show. Crush actually interacts with people in the audience. How does he do it? Well if I tell you it will ruin the show. But the interaction and creativity have apparently captured the people's eye. I suggest this show for all ages, and once again either in the early opening hours for the day. Or visit this show during the last two or three shows.
