This guest ranch sits on 10,000 acre working cattle ranch. It combines the better of two worlds. The great outdoors and the elegance of a five star resort.
Accommodations consist of seventy-three guest units. They are decorated in classic California ranch style. They come in either comfortable studios or spacious one-bedroom suites. Each unit has a wood burning fireplace, refrigerator, and many other amenities. For a more relaxed atmosphere, there are no in-room televisions or telephones. Telephone messages are brought to your room.
Meals at Alisal Guest Ranch consist of lavish breakfast buffets with fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls made right there at the ranch. You can enjoy lunch at poolside or at one of the two golf course grills. Dinners are carefully prepared and overseen by executive chef Pascal Gode. Chef Gode's selections include steak, chicken, or ribs, grilled over Alisal oak. Other favorites are locally caught fish, pastas and locally grown fresh vegetables. After dining, you can enjoy nightly entertainment and dancing in the Oak Room.
The two local golf courses at the ranch provide for great day of golfing. The Santa Barbara Golf Resort is a par-72 course that stretches for 6,500 yards. It is surrounded by sycamores and oak trees. The Santa Ynez Golf Course has a very peaceful atmosphere of the serene riverside fronted by the uninterrupted panorama view of the Santa Ynez Mountains.
Horseback riding allows you to explore the 10,000 acres of canyons and shaded hillsides. The ranch has a stable of 100 horses for any riders riding experience from beginner to advanced. Trail rides are supervised by experienced wranglers and are done twice a day.
There are many group activities at Alisal Guest Ranch. There are western style barbecues, country dancing, and winery tours of local vineyards to mention a few. Guest always enjoy their stay at the ranch. The staff makes you feel at home and relaxed during your stay.
