California 'Party Mom' Sentenced to 300 Days in Prison

Anna Walker-Vogt is Sentenced for Child Endangerment

Anna Walker-Vogt, also known as the "California Party Mom," pleaded guilty and received 300 days in jail for providing alcohol to minors and having sex with teenage boys, according to News10.net.

She was originally charged with 12 counts of child endangerment, but the county filed them all as one count and did not force her to register as a sex offender. They claimed that it would not reduce her sentence. Vogt will also serve for years of probation. Earlier in March, Walker plead guilty to three felonies. She will be credited for 20 days time served.

According to News10, the problems started when a car accident occurred a few miles from her house in Grayson, Calif., in January, about four miles southwest of Modesto. The party was intended to be a celebration of her son returning home from Oklahoma. Walker had sent them home because she feared that her husband, a police officer in Atwater, was returning from work at 3 a.m.

The Toyota 4Runner -- filled with 12 teenagers -- had crashed on the side of the road. The teens were discovered to have had alcohol in their system. They confessed that they got the alcohol from Walker, who was hosting a party at her house for the teenagers. One of the victims, according to earlier reports by cbs13.com, fractured his skull and a woman passenger suffered from spinal injuries. All the other passengers were injured and everyone eventually recovered. The driver, Robert Garcia, was charged with felony drunk driving.

It was later discovered that Walker, 35, had hosted two such parties, the first occurring in December 2006. She only invited teenage boys and served them alcohol. Furthermore, she had sex with two of the boys during the December party. She was held on $275,000 bail, but had that reduced to $65,000 in February 2007.

Ordinarily her charges could have had Walker facing up to seven years and eight months in state prison. However, according to Stanislaus County Deputy District Attorney Nate Baker, Walker's admittance of guilt helped get her sentence reduced to misdemeanor-level and only has Walker staying in county jail. She will also have to pay restitution to the victims, but no dollar amount has been set as of press time.

Walker also faced personal punishment. Her husband soon filed for divorce and now has custody of their three children.

I would have really liked to feel how it is with older women. Set her free let me take my chance

I totally agree with Dayanara - this woman should have been registered as a sex offender. No deouble standard!

Where was this mom when I was a kid? That's what I want to know. LOL. Nice article. I really enjoyed it.

It is so strange that things like this go on around us.

That's depressing. She could have had a good life, but lost it for trying to live this other stupid life. She most certainly has some mental/emotional issues. I also agree with Dayanara that if this were a man in the exact same situation, with teenaged girls, he'd be in prison and forever registered a sex offender.

The thing about it to me is if she had been a man, she would very likely be looking at having the key thrown away, and she sure as heck would have been registered as a sex offender.

i wonder how her sons must feel!

It's always depressing when stuff like this happens. Adults trying to relive a long lost youth or a youth they felt was denied to them. It's pathetic all the same.

Poor kids to have run into such a screwed up woman.
