Assemblywoman Diane Harkey receives the Reef Builder Award, which is given to a non member or volunteer.
There are three recipients of the 2010 Flagship Award, which honors non-Californians who are non-members or volunteers. They are Jon Dodrill, Bill Horn and Keith Mille of Florida's Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
CSTR is also proud to announce that Jay Straith is the 2010 inductee into the California Ships to Reefs Hall of Fame.
Join the CSTR Second Annual Awards Weekend Sept. 18-19 for great diving, a delicious banquet, celebrating our successes, and giving kudos and thanks to the organization's top contributors.
It will kick off Saturday, Sept. 18, with a catered awards banquet on the boat. Divers may sleep overnight on the boat and go out the next day for a two or three tank dive in the Channel Islands. Space on the boat is limited, so get your reservations in soon.
The banquet is catered by Spinnaker's Seafood Broiler and will include shrimp and tri-tips and a no host bar.
Below are details of the pricing and hotel arrangements for this exciting event.
Cost:
Member Divers: $120 includes dive trip & banquet (only 24 spaces). Divers must bring all their own equipment including tanks. Air is available on board, but those using Nitrox must bring it with them. Non-Member Divers: $135
Non-Divers: $35 includes banquet only (only 26 non-diver spaces). Non-Member non-divers: $40
Hotel accommodations for non-divers have been blocked at La Quinta Inn and Suites in Newbury Park, $69/night + tax. (king) or $79/night + tax (2 queens). To book your hotel accommodations please contact the La Quinta Inn & Suites at 1-805-499-5910 and tell them you are part of the CSTR group room block. Reservations for the hotel must be made no later than Saturday, September 4th. After that we cannot guarantee room availability or the rate.
