This tanning maximizer is so effective, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless your base tan is at 100%, can tolerate laying in your level 2 bed for the full time, and are no longer susceptible to burning.
I'm a redhead who burns first and then tans unless I start out slowly in a level 1 or 2 tanning bed. When I tried this lotion, I was at the point where I had a great base tan and was ready to move on to a maximizer. I hadn't hit my tanning plateau yet, but was tanning for the full 15 minutes in a level 2 bed, and was eager to move on.
I applied the CT Seven, and when my 15 minutes in the tanning bed was up, I felt fine, but could tell that I was evenly red all over - not much, just as if I had used a tanning lotion with hot action as an ingredient. Unfortunately, unlike the hot lotions, the red wasn't gone by the time I got home, and I learned that I needed to build up my base tan even further before using California Tan's CT Seven lotion again.
CT Seven doesn't contain heat action, tingle action, hemp or bronzers.
I originally tried this lotion about a month ago. Now it helps me get over my plateau, along with a level 3 tanning bed.
As far as aesthetics, it has a great fresh scent of moderate strength. The lotion itself is nice and thick, which I prefer to runnier ones. A little goes a long way, so if you buy this, the bottle will last you a long time.
Like all other California Tan lotions, this one contains Biosaccharide Complex, which keeps most of that after tan odor away. For some reason, it works a lot better with this lotion than other California Tan lotions I've tried. I'm not sure why, but it might have to do with the pleasant odor it had to begin with. They really work well together. There is still a small after tanning odor - enough that you might not want to go tanning right before work, before showering.
I highly recommend this lotion, but only if you easily tan, or only if you have already developed a solid base tan and have reached your plateau. Even then, I would test out this lotion in a level 1 or 2 bed, before using it in a step-up bed.
I give this lotion 5/5 stars for doing what it claims to do - to turn you from a random chick with a mediocre tan into a bronzed beauty.
