Call 411 for Information Without Cost

LetsCook
Whenever you dial 411 you are looking to speak with an operator to get information? Most likely a phone number for a friend or business is required. When lucky enough, a real live operator will answer the call in lieu of the more recent computer generated voice help.

But every time you dial 411 the phone company charges you a small fee. Most packages include free 411 calling up to 3 calls per month. Some people don't even use the allotted free 411 calls in their plan while others frequently dial for information.

There are internet sites available that may help you find a phone number or business address such as Superpages. Other sites just tell you the listing is available but requires a fee in order for you to get the information needed.

There are other services available that provide you with free 411 calling after you exhausted the 3 free calls given to you by your phone provider. Again, these calling services are free.

Dial 1-800-FREE-411 or 1-800-3733-411

Here you will listen to a short 10 second commercial before you will be able to get the listing information you were looking for. Waiting 10 seconds isn't bad at all knowing you won't be charged for the call.

Dial 1-800-GOOG-411 or 1-800-4004-411

This service is part of Google through the internet which offers commercial free listing information for businesses. This service will connect you immediately with the listing information. If you are using a cell phone as most do these days, then the information can be sent directly to your cell via a text message. It can also send you a map of the area you are referencing, too.

Need to call someone and don't know their phone number? Looking for a business for home repair or shopping sprees? Use these options for 411 calling and get the listing information needed fast and free. So if you live in Winona, Mississippi or any other state and have a telephone this service will work and be available to all.

Handy for certain. Too bad it does not include residential listings and also that it is our growing nemeses, GOOGLE.

Yes, this IS wonderful to know. I had no idea. We have a cell phone help line but that's just for U.S. Celluar customers at 611. Great work. Hey, any friend of Carol's is a real and true friend of mine. :-)
