"50/50 is an exhibition of 50 pieces of art, created by 50 local artists, all for sale for exactly $50 a piece. The economy of late has been highly detrimental to art sales. This event will be an excellent opportunity for arts patrons feeling the pinch to add work to their collections at a great price. It will also be an excellent opportunity for artists to generate sales and be seen by arts patrons. The exhibition will be on disply in the AEC in Covington's Arts District, Friday November 12th from 6-10pm and Saturday, November 13th." (www.covingtonarts.com).
The 50/50 art show is an excellent opportunity for artists to get exposure through a public art show, and also possibly even some sales. While $50 is not a large asking price for artwork, many artists are finding that art sales are down in the economy and a $50 sale not only means $50, but also great exposure to the art crowd of Greater Cincinnati.
The Covington Artisans Enterprise Center is located in downtown Covington, KY just across the river from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The beautiful building has been renovated into a fantastic art gallery with plenty of wall space as well as floor space for sculptural pieces and crowd mingling. This special exhibition is sure to bring out many typical gallery hop goers and is sure to generate some sales. Artists may submit up to five artworks for consideration and all different art media will be considered.
There is no fee to apply to the 50/50 art show. This makes the event even that much more appealing to both struggling and established artists. For more information or to apply for the 50/50 art show, please visit the Covington Arts District website. Here you will find the full details of the 50/50 art show as well as application terms and conditions. The application deadline is October 8th so get your submissions in right away and don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity for artists.

Post a CommentHelpful service for artists:)
I should enter the portrait I painted of my dad in an art show sometime. Thanks for the idea!
Hopefully this will help get some extra attention for the event as well as attracting new and undiscovered talent.
I'm not artist unfortunately.
