Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Review (PS3)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first person shooter video game released on Playstation 3 and created by Infinity Ward. This franchise is famous, but Call Of Duty has always had stiff competition with all the first person shooters out now. Does it hold up?

Story : The story is your generic ''terrorists are causing trouble and it's time to whoop some butt'' plot. That isn't necessarily bad though. What is here is fairly enjoyable. The characterizations are really good and a ton of fun to watch. The story itself, though generic, unfolds really well and without too much cheese. Story wise this is the best of the Call of Duty games, which is saying quite a bit since they've always done a good job story wise. One thing that should be noted is this is the first Call of Duty that doesn't take place in World War 2.

Graphics : Graphically, this game is quite amazing and there's a ton to offer here. Everything is mind blowing and drawn beautifully. The detail in the characters and backgrounds are stunning. This is truly the best graphics in any game that has been offered so far. There were absolutely no graphical glitches in this game, which is common for most 3d games but none appeared in this game.

Sound : The sound effects in this game are among the best I've ever heard. Talk about atmosphere, this game has it in spades. Even if you don't notice the sound design in games, you will notice it this time for sure. There's a lot to love here. The music is ambient but still very good. The voice acting is excellent as well. A great effort musically.

Game play : The controls in this game feel extremely crisp and responsive. They're sensitive, but not so much that you overshoot or undershoot actions. If you've played Call of Duty before, this game is nothing new but that's a good thing. The game play was great before and is still great here. The difficulty of these Call of Duty games got a big overhaul. The enemies are smarter than ever, and provide a really fun interesting challenge.

Re playability : This game is insanely re playable. Story wise you'll experience Al you need to the first time. But there's tons of content you can access, and all of it is a great joy to get.

Overall : 10/10. A great effort and an amazing game.
