Slavery still happens and musicians, actors and politicians discuss how it affects us all and how important it is to solve this issue. Call + Response.
I was interested in this documentary. Then I saw it and I was still interested but less in need of a nap. I did fall asleep. My problem was that the bands played their songs. It was more of a concert than information.
I can't believe people are slaves at the same time as I can believe it. This world is full of crappy people and they take advantage of other people to get more bucks...or I should really say Euros, they are worth more. I sleep to music so it sort of lullabyed me to sleep.
There are cool little graphics that pop up when they start talking about statistics. I liked that. I do like the songs and what they said, but they over took all the time that should have been more about informing and telling how people could help.
I was really excited to see Switchfoot sing, though. One of my favorite bands. I enjoyed them. I woke up in time to see that.
I did learn a lot about the human trade and who does it and how it's done. So I got something out of it, I just didn't like the over all way it was done. I believe that it is one thing that needs to be known, that should be known by all. Call + Response was created with good intentions, but it was a messy execution and therefore seemingly a long infomercial like those asking for money to help starving kids.
