Calm

Aleeta
Standing unobserved inside a motionless tranquility

Winter's rime extends her tentacles for to abrade

The silken stretch of summer skin left exposed; naked

Pale, protruding expanse of flesh simmering with shivers

Intermittent resonance interrupts this placid terrain

The fiery fingers of morning greet acquiescent stillness

Wooing the darkness with passionate fury, hues of first light arise

Her glowing eyes widen in wonder over frigid vastness revealed

The warmth of her smile caused darkness to cede

Yet failed to crumble the glacial bitterness of frosty seasons spell

Disregarding icy murmurings, morning merriment rose without shame

Her smile ever widening as torrid blasts of biting cold intrude my upturned collar

Futile attempts to remedy a malady uncontrolled by creatures of breath

I yield my flesh to her gnashing teeth; necrotic consumption of balmy essence

Yet stand I, in the midst of serenity as sunrise serenades me still
