Located just outside the San Antonio city limits in Selma, Texas, Camino Ranch offers customers aesthetically pleasing architecture and eye pleasing interior. Once inside, greeters await you and take you to your seat quickly on an average night. A typical weekend wait time is usually around 45 minutes, however, Camino Ranch offers an inviting patio waiting area and you can even receive bar service while waiting to be seated.
Service at Camino Ranch is right up there with the quality of their food. My wife and I have dined here many times and each time received great service. Our drinks have been filled promptly and we are asked if we need anything at regular, but not annoying intervals. The tortillas are made fresh, in full view of the patrons and all the chicken on their menu is rotisserie chicken, slow roasted in full view of the customers as well.
My wife and I have ordered almost everything on the menu and have not once been disappointed. The food is always very hot, very fresh, and very good. My wife says that their Margaritas are second to none and I have never tasted better fajitas. And that is saying a lot having dined at many of San Antonio's Mexican restaurants.
While their fajitas are my personal favorite, you will not be disappointed by anything on Camino Ranch's menu. While they do offer some fairly pricey items such as their steaks, most items on the menu are in the $9 to $12 range. That is a bit more than your average San Antonio Mexican restaurant, but then again, Camino Ranch is more than average.
Some other things that make Camino Ranch a top pick for San Antonio dining are the free ice cream for the kids (every day) and their kids eat free on Mondays policy. Kids can order anything from the kids menu free of charge on Mondays. From my experience, Monday's are also the most kid friendly since the bar area is usually not very busy on Mondays.
Overall, Camino Ranch offers arguably some of the best Mexican/Tex-Mex food in the San Antonio area. The combination of the appearance of the restaurant, the excellent service, and the quality of the food make Camino Ranch a top choice for San Antonio area dining.

Post a Comment10/7/07 Our family went to Camino Ranch for a birthday celebration - never again. My husbands fajitas were good but the rest of us had mexican plates and tortilla soup and it was awful. We sent two plates back twice because they were cold and they returned cold quite a while later. Eating utensils and napkins were not provided until asked for. I ordered the Guacamole ($8.99 made tableside) but received a side order of it. The nice female manager tried to resolve things and we do appreciate her and thank her but the whole meal was a disaster!!Your management should know about things like this in order to make vast corrections.
MY HUSBAND AND I WERE AT THE CAMINO RANCH TWO WEEKS AGO. WE FEEL THAT THE SERVICE NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. OUR WAITER WAS NOT ATTENTIVE, NEVER ASKED IF WE WERE NEEDING ANY THING ELSE. THE FOOD WAS OKAY. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THAT RESTAURANT AGIN. THANK YOU. JOHN AND SONIA SONTAG
I have never been so compelled to comment on a restaurant, but our recent visit to Camino Ranch left me so dissapointed I just had to write. We visited Camino Ranch for dinner, myself, husband and two children ages 7 and 9. We ordered the enchilada dinner and brisket taco dinner. my kids each asked for bean and cheese tacos. How a restaurant could mess up such easy common texmex fair is beyond me. my tacos wer corn tortillas which seem to have come staight out of the package without even being warmed up were filled with some kind of beef that seem to be recooked more than once which left it a mushy mess. The rice was clumpy, mushy flavorless and cold. even my kids did not care the easiest thing that a child could request, bean and cheese taco, was the worst. my kid complained about a big chunk of some type of meat that he found in his taco and the beans were a clump of mush. The restaurant itself is beautiful. but at these prices, you would think they would invest a little mo
