The founder Gary Mervis wanted this camp to become a place where campers can forget their illness and enjoy their time while making new memories together. Additionally, he built this camp in manner where all needs are provided for during the campers stay, even medical needs if needed by the camper. His compassionate heart has allowed this camp to become a true blessing to all, who are able to experience participating in its program. Also, the many volunteers have helped to make the camp into what it is today, but the camp depends on the public to continue operating each year.
Many campers are blessed by the generosity of others, who give from the kindness of their heart to help keep the camp open to all in need. In addition, the camp continues to hold many fundraising events that have allowed the camp to thrive financially with each new year. This camp also accepts gifts from those, who want to help bless the yearly campers with special gifts like greeting cards and toys. Every child and adults have a chance to enjoy themselves while visiting the camp, since they are treated to different scheduled activities which may be help inside the facility or outside on the camp grounds.
The volunteers and staff at each camp allow it to be successful in their mission to help families and restore courage, because they enjoy making each camper feel like special guest while visiting the camping facility. Also, their compassion toward the many campers has allowed the programs to become a fun memory for each family that has visited the campground over the 30 years. There are special camping programs in several other cities like: Mendon, Ithaca, Keuka Lake in Branchport, Syracuse, and Buffalo for all ages to come make new memories with their family.
These programs help give them courage and hope against whatever challenges they are facing in their life. The campers enjoy a fun getaway, just to unwind and overcome their fears or gain self-esteem during their visit to the camp. The special time together that the individual or families experience is worth the hard work the go into making these events a success. If you want to visit the camp or learn more, you may visit the official website and learn more about each program to find the one that your family would love to experience.
Take a moment to discover why Camp Good Days is a wonderful retreat for anyone facing an illness or has been touched by violence in their life, since this unique camping program offers a way for these amazing campers to recapture their courage. Therefore, open your heart to helping Camp Good days continue to achieve their mission and campers can allow them self to find ways to grow their own courage.
