Atmosphere
Campania Pizza & More is brightly decorated with Italian tile mosaics on the walls and tables. There are two small dining areas inside and tables on the sidewalk outside. Indoor seating is very tight.
When you enter Campania there is a counter at which you can order or a waitress will seat you and take your order.
Menu and Pricing
As the name entails Campania serves more than just pizza. There are Panini's, salads, appetizers, and pastas available as well. The pizza, however is what Campania is famous for. At Campania the pizza isn't like what you're used to. It bears no resemblance in taste or appearance to a pizza from Pizza Hut or Domino's. Campania serves a more authentic Italian style pizza.
There are many kinds of pizza to choose from, and you can have pizza prepared with or without tomato sauce. Pizza's range from $13 - $21. Campania also serves Cal-zones.
Some of the appetizers you'll find at Campania Pizza & More are, Focaccia and a cheese platter of imported Italian cheeses.
At Campania you can also bring your own beer and wine to enjoy with your meal.
(For full menu and current pricing, visit Campania Pizza & More website; the link is listed under resources).
Service
The food is unique and delicious, the fact that you can bring your own beer and wine is awesome, the mosaics are beautiful, and the location is charming, however the service left something to be desired.
The waitress that seated us never made eye contact with us during our dining experience at Campania. She was quick to take our order but didn't check on us once to see if we'd like our drinks refilled. From where I was sitting I could see her sitting at a table near the counter chatting with another waitress.
After we finished eating we waited and waited and waited some more for her to bring us our check. Of course she never showed up. I had to go get her myself. When she finally arrived at the table, she didn't apologize for the wait.
I would like to point out, that another waitress was working the other tables and seemed to be doing an excellent job of keeping her customers happy, their drinks filled, and providing them with their food and check in a timely manner. She smiled a lot and seemed very friendly, so I cannot say the service at Campania Pizza & More is all bad.
Overall Impression
I really enjoyed the food. It was a nice change from the typical pizza I am accustomed to. The ingredients were flavorful and the toppings were colorful. The location is in a very charming part of Dallas and the overall atmosphere at Campania is great.
Campania Pizza & More is a place I would return to (In the hopes of getting a different waitress), especially with friends on a Friday night.
