Campfire Grilling: the Perfect Hamburger

How to Grill the Perfect Hamburger

The chili sauce and horseradish give this hamburger extra zip and make it the perfect hamburger for us.

1 egg - slightly beaten
margarine - garlic powder if desired

SEASONINGS:
2 tbsp. chili sauce
1 tsp. dried onion
1 tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

FOR YOUR HAMBURGER:
4 hamburger buns - split, spread with margarine and garlic powder.
1 pound lean ground beef

OPTIONAL:

Onions
Peppers
Pickles
Catchup
Sliced tomato
Cheese
Bacon, already cooked

Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting your grill.

Combine eggs and seasonings in large bowl. Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into four patties.

Grill 5-7 minutes over medium heat.

Grill buns until lightly toasted.

ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS:
Taco Burgers - Replace seasoning mix with 3 tbsp taco seasoning mix, 2 tsp dried onion and 3/4 cup finely crushed corn chips. Can shape into six patties.

Herbed Burgers - Omit egg. Replace seasoning mix with 5 tsp sour cream, 3/4 tsp dried parsley flakes, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. Makes four patties.

Bacon Burgers - Replace seasonings with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 2 tsp dried onion, 2 tbsp catchup, 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper. Makes four patties.
