Yosemite Pines in Yosemite National Park has something to offer everyone in the family. It really is a beautiful area to stay in and campers make good use of a Yosemite Pines Campground. Yosemite Pines includes the North Pines Campground, Lower Pines Campground and the Upper Pines Campground. People from all over the world enjoy spring, summer and even winter camping while staying in a Yosemite Pines campground.

Families fill their days hiking, biking and picking wildflowers through the great Yosemite National Park seeing nature at its best. Fresh air, fishing and beautiful scenery are a natural draw for campers and backpackers that want to get away for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation.

North Pines Campground

All camping facilities at Yosemite Pines require registering at noon when arriving and departing. While camping or staying overnight campfires may be used from 5pm to 10pm. As a courtesy to all guests of the Yosemite Pines campground campers are encouraged to abide by quiet hour rules during the hours of 10pm to 6am. Generators are only allowed during daylight hours sparingly.

Camping in the North Pines Campground is allowed from April to September. You can make reservations for a Yosemite Pines Campground at most camping facilities 5 months prior to the reserved date. The North Pines Campground has 80 camping sites and the charge is $20 dollars a night.

Lower Pines Campground

Camping sites at the Lower Pines Campground allow a maximum number of six people per space for a total of $20 dollars a night. This Yosemite Pines Campground includes a dump station and requires a reservation five months prior to camping. Reservations can easily be made online. Pets are allowed in any one of the 60 camping spots. Camping for Lower Pines Campground is open through the months of March until the end of October. All facilities within the Yosemite Pines Campground allow trailers and RVs; however, each campground has their own length restrictions.

Shower facilities can be used by campers in Curry Village and the Housekeeping Camp. Yosemite Village and Curry Village are both just a short distance from the Lower Pines Campground where you can purchase groceries.

Upper Pines Campground

Upper Pines Campground is the largest of the three Yosemite Pines Campgrounds with 238 camping spots. This campground is located next to the Curry Village area in Yosemite Valley and is open to visitors all year round. This is another camping area that does require reservations in advance. Reservations are required when camping between March 16 and the end of November. Camping sites are open from December through March 15 with no reservations required.

Yosemite Pines campground spaces are all provided with a food locker and fire ring with picnic tables. The Upper Pines Campground provides spaces with disabled access and has potable water and bathroom facilities close by.

While camping at Yosemite Pines please mind the bears, be sure and use the personal food lockers that are provided for your protection. Pets are allowed in Yosemite Pines campground, but you must follow the park leash laws and clean up after your pet. For your convenience, Yosemite Valley has a dog kennel, which operates during the summer season.
