Camping Games to Play in Your Tent or Camper

Camping is a fun outdoor activity. Most of the time when you are camping you are out side doing outdoor things like hiking, swimming, or catching fireflies. When you are camping the outdoors is your home and you do all the fun outdoor things that you don't do when you are home. But on some days when you are camping it may be raining outside or it may be too cold to be outside all of the time. Maybe you need something to do in your tent or camper to help wind down the kids so they can go to sleep. That's when you may like to do an inside activity.

Board games are always nice for inside camping games. Always bring a board game or two when you are camping for some entertainment when you can't be outside. You can get small travel size board games from some department or toy stores. The travel size board games are small in size and the pieces don't fall off so easy so the are nice for small areas such as a tent or camper. You can get travel size board games like Monopoly or Don't Wake Daddy, chess or checkers. There are many kinds of travel board games that you can buy now days.

"What Am I Thinking?" Is a great game to play when you have limited space. You give the group of people a clue of what you are thinking about and the people take turns asking questions about your thought until someone thinks they know what it is. You can think of anything you want that a person can guess you can even limit it to something that is in view of where you are.

Mad Libs are small books that have stories in them that have missing words in the story. You take turns filling in the missing words. The Mad Lib tells you what kind of word to put in the story like a noun and you put a noun in that spot. Doing Mad Libs can be very funny and several people can do it at one time. You can buy a Mad Libs book at a book store or in a book section in a department store.

Cards are a favorite to play if you have a small area that you can use for it. You can bring poker chips to play some poker and if you forget the chips you can use small sticks, rocks or a snack food like colored candies. Poker is a great camping game. Any card game can be played when you are camping so a deck of cards should be in everyone's camping equipment.

Telling stories at bed time is a great way to get the kids to sleep. Put the kids to bed and you can tell them stories of when you were a child or make something up. If you want the kids to be up all night you can tell them a scary story. If you want the kids to go to sleep you can tell them a boring story. Usually kids get tired camping but they also are wired and a story can ease them to sleep.
