Ironwood Point Recreational Area
Located off 507 in Greentown, Pennsylvania, Ironwood Point sits on a hill overlooking the lake. It offers 49 tent and trailer sites, and 13 scenic lakefront sites for walk-in camping, along with a boat launch, marina, gas station for boaters and arcade room. Situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Wallenpaupack, the walk-in sites have no parking at the actual campsite, requiring you to carry in your gear, but the breathtaking view is worth the short walk. Ledgedale Recreational Area
Ledgedale Recreational Area is adjacent to the Ledgedale Natural Area at the southern tip of Lake Wallenpaupack in Greentown. Rife with glacial rocks, Ledgedale has wooded sites for 70 tents and trailers. The campground includes a game room, playground, rental slip docks and a gas station for boaters. The 80-acre Ledgedale Natural Area offers hiking trails that follow old logging roads. Large boulders along the trails are remnants of prehistoric glaciers. Hikers may spot red and gray fox, raccoon, ruffed grouse, white-tailed deer, red and gray squirrel, and black bear. Visit this site for further information on the Ledgedale Natural Area.
Wilsonville Recreational Area:
Just off scenic Route 6, Wilsonville is adjacent to the Shuman Point Natural Area and Beech House Creek Wildlife Center, and offers 160 tent and trailer sites. The Blue Trail at the 300-acre Shuman Point Natural Area runs along the shoreline of Lake Wallenpaupack, and sprouts of heretofore extinct American chestnut trees can be found here. The 60-acre Beech House Creek Wildlife Refuge offers opportunities to photograph beaver activity and nesting mallards and wood ducks. Hawks, Great Blue Heron, mink, otter and raccoons can also be spotted. Visit this site for further information on the acre Beech House Creek Wildlife Refuge.
Several state parks in the area surrounding Lake Wallenpaupack offer camping as well.
Promised Land State Park
Promised Land State Park is located along Route 390, in nearby Canadensis and is home to four camping areas. Lower Lake Campground, at the western edge of Lower Lake, provides flush toilets, hot showers and some electric hookups. On a peninsula on the southern side of Promised Land Lake, Pickerel Point campsites are on the lakeshore. A rustic area, Pickerel Point has vault toilets, pay showers. The Pines Campground is on the northwestern end of Promised Land Lake on a peninsula. There are flush toilets and pay showers. South of Promised Land Lake, Deerfield Campground has rustic flush toilets and pay showers.
Promised Land State Park also has a cabin colony. Bear Wallow Cabin Colony has 12 rustic CCC cabins, with electricity, fireplaces and adjacent private bathrooms.
There are five boat launching areas (electric motors only) with 170 mooring spaces rented on a seasonal basis.

Tobyhanna State Park
"Tobyhanna" comes from an American Indian word meaning "a stream whose banks are fringed with alder." Located in Monroe and Wayne counties, Tobyhanna State Park has 140 rustic camping sites, and is adjacent to the Gouldsboro State Park. There are 60 overnight mooring spaces on Lake Tobyhanna.
NOTE: Due to delays in a campground modernization project, the beaches and 2009 camping season will not open until early August. The beaches at nearby Gouldsboro State Park are open Visit this site for further information on Tobyhanna State Park.
Named for 19th century tycoon Jay Gould, Gouldsboro State Park offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and three marked trails for hiking. Visit this site for more information on Gouldsboro State Park.

Ah, yes, Memmay, Cove Haven, the honeymooner's paradise! They also have jacuzzis shaped like champagne glasses!
I heard of heart shaped beds at those Pocono resorts when I was a sweet young thing.
